Neighborhood Improvement and Development in Scarborough-Rouge Park

Scarborough-Rouge Park makes up some very different and unique neighborhoods, but with similar pressures. Poor development can lead to increased traffic, gentrification (pricing out local businesses), high rate of turnover, and stalled maintenance of roadways. Good development can lead to increasing choices for area residents who want to downsize, young families who want to raise their children in our community, young adults who want vibrant cafes, shops, and restaurants within a short distance from home. We can be a vibrant Ward for all, we can bring in smart developments that benefit the area. We can ensure our park and recreation facilities are maintained at a high level for maximum enjoyment.

Community Engagement, Transit and Policy Advocacy

Engaging with the community and effectively communicating to Ward 25 residents, and businesses what decisions or upcoming issues from City Hall may affect you is of the highest priorities for me. Advocating for better transit, safe streets and parks are very important to our daily enjoyment of the community we call home.

Core City Services and Navigating City Hall

The proper funding and delivery of core city services is what we notice the most. Municipal government affects us in our daily lives the most. Sometimes, navigating City Hall for things like renovation permits, business permits, grants or rebates, and others can be frustrating. I can help you navigate the departments at City Hall. The City of Toronto will face different pressures that come up from time to time; I can assure you I will be a reasonable voice and an advocate for common sense.

Brian’s priorities are clean parks, safe streets, a great area to raise a family, start a business, and improved transit. He brings a unique perspective as both a homeowner, a divorced father, and as a long-time area Realtor and advocate, ensuring a steadfast and strong commitment to the area.
