I want to make clear, I am not singling out this property or application, just highlighting a trend in West Hill.
There are development applications that propose to sever the existing property in to two lots and build on the two new lots.
Originally West Hill was rural and the farmers who had the lots severed them into large-wide lots which are quite deep. As the land becomes more valuable, with lifestyle changes and other factors, these types of severance applications become more normal. Also lot consolidation is another possibility for larger developers who buy multiple lots that abut each other.
